So there you are. This exciting event, this thing, this MOMENT has finally come.
You've been building up to it for a while and you expect that it's going to be GREAT.
Then "IT" happens... or "IT" doesn't happen. Or "IT" happens and
"IT'S" completely weird and not at all like you thought "IT" was going to be!
You know, the Existentialists may have really been onto something when they said that there's no grand design, no great plan unfolding. Stuff just happens for no apparent reason whatsoever.
Don't you just HATE that?
These are the moments when you really don't want to hang out with Nietzsche or any of his friends. Because just maybe this glitch, this problem, this mistake wasn't random.
Maybe it IS going to propel you towards something better.
Maybe the "grand plan" is to learn to flex and adjust our expectations.
Welcoming the snafu makes us sharper, stronger, and alive. There's really something to that. So I say...
Bring on the snafu.
