How do I become a client?

Contact me via my HIPPA compliant phone, email or submitting your information through this site and we will schedule a free 30 minute consultation to determine your therapy needs and to see if Simply Mindful Therapy is right for you.  If you and I determine Simply Mindful Therapy is a good fit, I will send you a link to download the HIPPA compliant platform to access your client portal.  Within your client portal you will have access to all forms needed to begin therapy, we will schedule your initial intake assessment and you will have access to be able to schedule/cancel all future appointments.


Do you take insurance?

 

Yes, I am in-network with several insurances. See services page for additional info. I also accept private/self-pay clients; and can offer a SuperBill to clients that request it to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement.  I also accept HSA (Health Savings Accounts) payments.

How long can I expect each session to be and how many sessions can I have?

 

The free consultation is 30 minutes in length. 

If Simply Mindful Therapy is right for you, the Initial Intake Appointment will be between 75-90 mins. 

Individual, family and couples sessions are 45-50 minutes in length. 

You and I will determine how many sessions is right for you, although this can change or vary along the way in treatment. 


Is online therapy right for me?

I noticed your services are only available in FL,GA & NC? What if I do not live in those states?

 

There are often state restrictions regarding therapy.  I am currently licensed in the states of Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Therefore, I am only able to provide services to those in FL, GA & NC.


Can I receive your therapy services if I live in a different country?

 

In some situations, yes.  It really varies depending on your location and the laws and regulations in that area.  Contact me to discuss this further.


What are your credentials?

 

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of Florida & Georgia and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of NC.

What are your hours?

 

My office hours are Monday-Friday 9am-4pm EST.  Evening appointments can be accommodated as necessary. 


Will our session be confidential?

 

Counseling is provided on a private and discreet basis. All matters remain confidential with the following exceptions:

  • Any past or imminent harm or abuse to a child.

  • Any imminent threat of harm to self or to another.

  • Courts or a Judge may order disclosure of a clinical file.


Is your online platform HIPPA compliant?

 

Yes.  I use the iTherapy platform that is HIPPA compliant as well as providing HIPPA compliant email, phone, fax and payment software.
